Human Computer Interaction: Challanges and Prospects

With the ever increasing use of Computers and the Internet, several issues like Ergonomics and aesthetics are emerging. Researchers are more and more working on designing systems that are usable and make the use of computers more satisfying and enjoyable. Also, there has been a quest to make the systems accessible for all, even for the persons with one or other kind of disabilities. Human Computer Interaction has immense potential on the way users can interact with the computers. This  Special Session aims to provide academicians and industrialists an opportunity to share their research experiences and provide innovative ways to design aesthetically and ergonomically designed systems.

Original and unpublished contributions are invited on the following topics of interests, but are not limited to:

  • Cognitive aspects of Human Computer Interaction
  • The need of Human Computer Interactions
  • Human and Computer part of Human Computer Interactions
  • Goals of HCI
  • Ergonomics and aesthetics in HCI
  • Building scenarios and case studies in HCI
  • Design not just interfaces but interactions
  • Characteristics and features of a good design
  • Design process
  • Design systems usable by all
  • How a design can affect user emotions
  • Design , implement and evaluate interfaces
  • Enhance human productivity and efficiency through HCI
  • Improve learnability and usability of systems
  • Role of feedback in HCI
  • HCI and users with special needs
  • HCI and Social networking
  • Building interactions on the cloud
